A little bit about me!
I’ve been told that I don’t see things quite like anyone else. I look at a place, a situation, even a group of people, and think “well if we just adjust that, move this person, maybe remove that stuff, this would work SO much better.” My organizationally challenged family tends to get annoyed with me because I’m always moving and readjusting everything in our home. Organizing just feels natural to me, with my home, my family, and now my business.
I started out my adult life as a Special Education teacher, which was the most challenging, rewarding and overwhelming position I have ever held. I learned two valuable lessons during those years in the classroom that still serve me well. The first is that one "size" definitely does NOT fit all. Organization that works with my small family of three just doesn't make sense to a family of six. Storage created for a large single-family home is impractical in a town-home or apartment. The next lesson learned is that everyone learns differently. A beautifully labeled, alphabetized organizational system is not going to stay that way if it doesn't make sense to the person living with it every day. Organization needs to be personalized for your current space, needs, and personality to be successful.
